Your opportunity to contribute

The EPA will be holding a number of forums to provide stakeholders with an opportunity for open discussion and clarification on the proposed requirements. Forums allow for real-time engagement, enabling participants to explore practical implications, share diverse perspectives, and address questions collaboratively ensuring a more informed and balanced approach to implementation.

The forums will primarily be held online to ensure broad accessibility; however, a limited number of in-person spots will be available for those who prefer to attend on site. If you are interested in participating in the forum discussion on the proposed requirements, please email us at EPA.RadiationProjectsReform@sa.gov.au by COB 30 January 2026 and indicate the type of radiation sources you manage.

Important Note

  • We are consulting only. Apart from providing feedback no action is required as this new process has not been implemented yet.
    • If you currently have a radiation source that is in application, you will be contacted separately and advised of next steps.
  • When implementation occurs, the application forms, conditions of authorisation and potentially Codes of Compliance will be amended to support the new process.
  • Diagnostic apparatus are excluded from this new process.
