Consultation has concluded
The EPA has established a groundwater prohibition area in parts of Keswick, Forestville, Ashford, Everard Park, Wayville and Mile End South. This area has a proud manufacturing history, with some past chemical disposal and handling practices having contaminated the groundwater.

Reports, maps and EPA past work
The EPA was notified of site contamination in soil at a former Kelvinator Australia Limited industrial site in Keswick during site redevelopment in November 2013. This notification triggered further testing of groundwater and soil vapour within and around the industrial site. Testing works have progressed in stages and all of the reports documenting these works are on the EPA Public Register and available on request to the EPA.
On 9 May 2020, the EPA notified residents that it has received a new notification of site contamination affecting groundwater (bore water) in Forestville that may affect bores in parts of Keswick, Forestville, Everard Park and Ashford.
